About JamCoach

What is JamCoach?

JamCoach is an employee coaching app for monthly one-on-ones. Each month a leader gives each team member three feedback items, each tied to one of the company’s core principles and marked as a strength or an opportunity. The team member reads it, acknowledges it, and can respond.

When does JamCoach launch?

JamCoach does not have a launch date yet. Join the waitlist and you will hear it first, before sign-up opens.

How much will JamCoach cost?

JamCoach will be free for up to 5 users, and leaders count as users. Beyond that it will cost $5 per user per month, billed month to month. Teams over the free limit get a 90-day free trial, which covers three full coaching cycles.

What is a coaching alert?

A coaching alert is a short performance improvement plan for when a team member must change specific behaviors to keep their job. Only the leader can start one. It sits in its own highlighted section, apart from the regular feedback, and is released and acknowledged the same way.

What happens when someone changes managers?

If a new manager takes over right before feedback is due, the previous manager can still give feedback for that cycle. By default the new manager can see the team member’s past coaching history; a company can turn that off.

Security

How are API keys protected?

API keys are shown once, when you create them. JamCoach stores only a SHA-256 hash of each key plus a short prefix for recognizing it. Each key has scopes (read or write), an optional expiry and a last-used time, and can be revoked at any moment.
